We Are The Mods

A comment on WATM found on 123people.com in a review on the Florida Film Festival

We Are the Mods -- If Lymelife came off as an Ice Storm/Snow Angels hybrid, then Mods strikes us more like a blend of Ghost World and The Dreamers, not to mention any other indie flick in which a lonely teen falls in with any crowd that'll have him/her. And like Lymelife, the familiar arc is bested by the cast of fresh faces (Melia Renee as the introvert protagonist, Mary Elise Hayden as the stylish bad influence) and director/co-writer E.E. Cassidy's easy-going tone and a knack for sparing us hysterics when inevitable conflicts arise. After all, what's less hip than overblown melodrama?

The Sacramento Film & Music Festival has invited Sabi to screen the Eloquent Graffiti prelude, "model/photographer", at their fest this year - july 24th to august 2nd.

They requested to screen it, rather than Sabi sending it in for consideration.

The Meemies at Silverlake Lounge 5/27

Always a pleasure to jump on stage with my friends Charlie (the lovely lady on guitar) and Jesse (most talented musician in LA who plays drums and piano at the same time!)For this show I played glockenspiel, mandolin, the "neck" tambourine (invented for this special occasion) and even drums on one song!
